Ask a Part 142 director where audits go wrong and you will hear the same answer: drift between the approved curriculum and what got delivered.
Approved vs draft
An approved curriculum has a version; a revision that has not been approved is a draft. Delivering a draft because “the approved one was missing a maneuver” is a classic finding.
Record the version delivered
Each student’s record should capture which approved version they were trained on — not just “the curriculum.”
Gate scheduling on approval
Software should prevent a draft curriculum from being scheduled for billable training at all.
Make it structural
Curriculum approval state is first-class in AviationAlley, so drift cannot happen by accident.
